Spotify is the digital music streaming service offering music fans instantaccess to a world of music. Spotify enables on-demand streaming of audio contentand aim to be a better alternative to music piracy by offering a superior userexperience, while monetising licensed content with both an ad-supported,free-to-the-user model and a premium, paid model.

Spotify wanted to extend their the service to be able to provide a seamless purchase solution within the Spotify music streaming client.  Using 7digital's API a fully integrated download experience was developed, providing:

• Catalogue matching with XML feeds and API calls
• Support for multiple currencies & languages
• Users purchase MP3s without leaving the Spotify environment and downloads are stored and playable within the Spotify application
